Gus Parker’s personal philosophy on life–God first, family second, and self third–is the mindset we need today to help solve society’s ills. The love he has for God, his wife, children, and community shines through the pages of this book. The poems, letters to his children, stories and life struggles all gave me a glimpse into his heart. This book shows the reader with a strong partner–his wife Cheryl–passion and faith in our God, raising strong, caring, service-oriented, educated children is possible. This is a powerful book and the title Mining Diamonds is so appropriate.
